Last modified: October 15, 2007 - 4:21 PM

Dungog Shire has a very interesting and rich heritage, which contributes to the fabric and appeal of the Shire. The planning regulations for the Shire, recognise the importance of the heritage base of the area and are designed to protect and enhance items and sites of heritage significance. A number of studies have been undertaken to identify and assess Aboriginal and European heritage sites, buildings and places of significance within the Shire.
