Council often receives applications from candidates outside Australia. As per the Department of Immigration & Citizenship requirements it is illegal for Council to employ anyone without the Right to Work in Australia.
The onus is on the applicant to demonstrate Proof of Right to Work in Australia. At interview stage Dungog Shire Council will ask to sight:
- Australian Birth Certificate
- Australian Citizenship Certificate
- Australian Passport Valid Visa with permission to work in Australia
- Job Network Job Seeker Identification Number

If a preferred candidate cannot demonstrate Proof of Right to Work in Australia they will not be offered employment.
