Council operates one Waste Management Facility at Short Street, Dungog.
The Waste Management Facility is open and manned at the following times:
- Thursday, Friday and Monday from 8.00 am till 5.00 pm
- Saturday and Sunday from 8.00 am until 12.00 midday.

The Waste Management Facility is closed on Council Picnic Day, Good Friday and Easter Monday and on Christmas and New Years Day each year.
This is a solid waste Class 2 licenced facility that accepts most solid waste including green waste and asbestos (see below for conditions). Tip fees are charged on all waste and unsorted recyclable material. Fees do not apply to ferrous and non ferrous metals, clean cardboard and paper and sorted domestic recyclable containers.
Additional services provided at the landfill include a Drummuster facility for clean empty veterinary and farm chemical containers (by appointment - paperwork to be completed), a waste oil collection service, domestic recycling, cardboard/paper collection, ferrous and non ferrous metals, and a second hand shop.
