Dungog Library will reopen with selected services from Monday 22 June 2020. Priority will continue to be public and employee safety, for this reason visitation is restricted to 30 minutes or less and customer opening hours have been limited to the following;.

10:00am - 4.00pm – Monday - Friday
10.00am - 12.00pm - Saturday

  • The first hour of opening on Monday - Friday will be reserved for access by vulnerable people only.
  • Regular patron access is available on Saturday and from 11am until closing Monday to Friday.
  • All visitors entering the library must register contact details to assist in contact tracing in case of an outbreak. No entry will be allowed if contact details are not provided.
  • Please ensure regular hand washing and sanitising before entering and whilst you are in the library.
  • Due to social distancing and the available floor space the maximum occupancy level has been set at 6 library visitors, this will be re-assessed at each stage of restriction.
  • Our Call and Collect service remains available for those not ready to enter the premises as yet, to access this service simply call 4992 1819 and request ‘Call and Collect’.
  • No Newspapers, seating or work spaces will be available.
  • Only 1 PC will be available for public use, a maximum of 15 minutes per session, equipment will be cleaned before and after each use.  
  • Patrons are encouraged to complete their transactions and leave, no gathering.
  • We will not be running face to face programs or children’s story time as yet.
  • The loan period on all items has been extended to 8 weeks.

  • Returns – Please place all returns in the 24 hour returns chute outside the library. All returned items will be quarantined for 72 hours prior to re-shelving for your safety.
  • Respect our Distance – Practise good hygiene and maintain social distancing. Stay home if you are feeling unwell.

We appreciate your patience as we work through our COVID-19 safety plan, we are taking considered measures to ensure we meet NSW Public Health Order requirements, which includes changes to our service delivery, customer opening hours and preparing our spaces with additional safeguards such as the availability of hand sanitiser, safety screens and additional cleaning measures.
