Draft Development Control Plan - Contaminated Land

Council at its meeting on 19 September 2018 resolved to place a Draft Development Control Plan -Contaminated Land on public exhibition. This Development Control Plan Chapter is intended to replace existing Chapter 15 of Dungog Shire Development Control Plan 1.

The Development Control Plan- Contaminated Land  may be viewed online in the ‘News’ section of Council’s website or in person at Council’s Administration Centre, Dungog, between 26 September 2018 and 29 October 2018.

Written submissions on the proposed public gates/public grids are invited and should be forwarded to Council, addressed to the General Manager, PO Box 95, Dungog NSW 2420 by 4:30pm on 29 October 2018.

Draft Contaminated Land Policy

Council at its meeting on 19 September 2018 resolved to place a Draft Contaminated Land Policy on public exhibition.  The Draft Policy sets out the preferred practice of Council in relation to:

•    Identifying, evaluating and managing contaminated land,
•    Establishing an appropriate certification standard for consultants,
•    Recording, managing and disclosing contaminated land information,
•    Reporting contaminated land to the NSW EPA,
•    Preventing or minimising the potential for contamination.

The Draft Policy may be viewed online in the ‘News’ section of Council’s website or in person at Council’s customer service centre between 26 September 2018 and 29 October 2018.

Draft Contaminated Land Policy

Review of Policy - Control of Open Burning

Council at its meeting on 19 September 2018 resolved to place a Draft Control of Open Burning Policy on public exhibition. This Draft Policy  has been amended to to reflect changes in legislation, changes to land zone classifications and to make the process of gaining approval to burn vegetation clearer..

The Development Control Plan- Contaminated Land  may be viewed online in the ‘News’ section of Council’s website or in person at Council’s Administration Centre, Dungog, between 26 September 2018 and 29 October 2018.
