This week, Dungog Shire Council announced the appointment of our new General Manager, Mr Gareth Curtis.

Mr Curtis has more than 25 years’ experience within the local government sector, most recently as a Director of Cessnock City Council, and places a strong focus on strategic planning and environmental health.

Dungog Waste Management Facility reopening on Saturdays

From this Saturday 23 May, the Dungog Waste Management Facility will RE-OPEN to the general public from 8am - 12pm, in accordance with updated government directives relating to COVID-19. 

The revised opening hours for the facility are as follows:

At this week’s council meeting, our council unanimously resolved to provide additional support to the ratepayers of the Dungog Shire in the wake of COVID-19. 

Council will be implementing various measures to help mitigate the negative economic impacts and assist our community in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.

COVID-19 Restrictions Update

From today, the NSW Government is easing a number of COVID-19 restrictions to allow an increased range of activities. For our Dungog Shire community, this means the following facilities will be reopened throughout the day:
