The Dungog Shire proved a very popular destination this June long weekend, with our Visitor Information Centre recording 196 visitors and many of our accommodation providers, including Williams River Holiday Park, being fully booked for the first time in many months.

This week, Dungog Shire Council announced the appointment of our new General Manager, Mr Gareth Curtis.

Mr Curtis has more than 25 years’ experience within the local government sector, most recently as a Director of Cessnock City Council, and places a strong focus on strategic planning and environmental health.

Dungog Waste Management Facility reopening on Saturdays

From this Saturday 23 May, the Dungog Waste Management Facility will RE-OPEN to the general public from 8am - 12pm, in accordance with updated government directives relating to COVID-19.
