Project Steering Committee

A Steering Committee was established through an expression of interest (EOI) process. The EOI was seeking three (3) community members to join council staff, councillors and state agency representatives to guide the strategy. The role of the project steering committee is to review project documentation, provide feedback and guide the strategic development of the strategy.

The project steering committee comprises of: The Mayor, three (3) Councillors as elected, Three (3) community Members, a representative from Hunter Water, Department of Primary Industries – Agriculture and Department of Planning Industry and Environment as well Councils General Manager and Strategic Planner.

The project steering committee meets frequently to review the deliverables prepared by GHD for the strategy. The committee then reviews documents, discusses and provides feedback, wherein this feedback is fed into the project deliverable and reviewed by Council.
