John Tucker Park Playground Upgrade

Funding:

This project, funded under the Local Road & Community Infrastructure Program (LRCI), will replace the aging equipment with a modern, inclusive playground that caters to children aged 2–12.

Design and Consultation:

The playground design was developed in consultation with the local community, including the Paterson Progress Association, Paterson P&C, and Paterson Rotary.

Features:

The equipment promotes physical development, adventure, and sensory play while balancing individual and group play. The design includes vibrant colours, a mix of rubber and wood soft-fall, and is welcoming for children of all abilities.

Flood Considerations:

Given the site’s flood-prone nature, the materials were chosen to ensure durability and ease of maintenance.
