Join our library

Dungog library is part of the Newcastle libraries network, which gives members access to a large range of online and in print resources. Members have instant access to a large collection of books, magazines, movies, music, newspapers, local history and an extensive e library.

Info on joining the library

  • Join online or - 
  • Join in person, just bring along identification with your name and address
  • membership is free
  • Residents and non- residents of Dungog can join the library
  • Once your card has been issued you can use it at all Port Stephens and Newcastle library branches
  • Anyone under 17 will need a parent or guardian approval

Borrowing Information

  • Self check machine available soon
  • Loan period  for books, DVD's, CD's and Audiobooks is 4 weeks
  • Loan period for Popular items and Magazines is 2 weeks
  • Items can be renewed up to three times (excluding popular items and items that have a request placed on them)
  • You can borrow 20 items per visit with the maximum of 40 items in total
