Council encourages the organisers of special events to consider the volume and type of waste that will be generated by their event.
Waste Receptacles are available for hire from Council for a small charge ($10.40) per receptacle. This hire fee covers the use of the receptacle and the costs of servicing. Organisers are required to collect and return the Special Event Receptacles to the Dungog Waste Facility in Short Street, Dungog.
If you are organising an event, please contact Council's Waste Management Facility (via., 02 49957777) to discuss your waste collection needs. The attached application form must be completed where Special Event Receptacles are required. Refer to the below flowchart for more information.

Contact Council's Waste Management Facility to discuss your specific waste management requirements and bin hire needs. Council encourages hiring equal number of red and yellow bins to ensure better recycling and reduce burden on landfill.
Important: To ensure sufficient time for bin allocation, servicing and preparation, all Special Event Waste Receptacle hire applications must be submitted at least two (2) weeks prior to the event date. Applications received with less than two weeks' notice may be subject to limited bin availability.
