Council Connect 13 March, 2026
Published on 13 March 2026
Hello Dungog Shire. I'm Councillor James Campbell with your weekly Council Connect.
Just a quick reminder that our March council meeting will be held next Wednesday evening, and as always, the community is welcome to follow along and stay informed about the decisions shaping our area.
I also want to raise that we currently have a vacancy on the 355 Management Committee for The James Theatre. If you're interested, it's a great opportunity to support one of our important local community assets. Please head to Council's website for more information and to apply.
This weekend, we also have the Gresford show, always a fantastic local event bringing the community together. If you're heading along, I hope you have a great time and support our local volunteers and exhibitors.
Those in Clarence Town, keep an eye out later today, as we'll be sharing some great photos from Clarence Town Bridge. Special shout-out to Andrew Graddon, who has been keeping the Clarence town community informed on our Facebook page with amazing drone footage of the bridge over the last few months.
And finally, Council is strengthening our Infrastructure and Assets team, with the next phase of recruitment underway. We have several exciting roles currently being advertised, including:
> Operations Manager
> Emergency Management Officer
> Coordinator Assets
> Coordinator Engineering
> Coordinator Waste Services
> Depot and Fleet Management Officer
> Project Officer
> Property and Procurement Officer
These roles are part of our commitment to building a strong, capable team focused on service delivery, collaboration, and continuous improvement. If you, or someone you know, is looking for an opportunity like this, check out our careers page on the website to learn more.
That's all for me. Thank you.
