Dungog Waste Management Facility is open to the public but with access limited to 4WD vehicles only due to the recent rain. Conditions will continue to be monitored, and updates provided as they are available.

Dungog Shire Council is celebrating Local Government Week and National Tree Day by once again giving away 350 free native tube stock trees to residents across the Dungog Local Government Area.
From Tuesday 4 August, residents can collect up to three free native tube stock trees per household from one of the following locations (while stocks last):
Dungog Shire Council Administration Building 198 Dowling Street, Dungog Tuesday to Friday | 8.45am – 4.30pm
Clarence Town Post Office 116 Prince Street, Clarence Town Tuesday to Friday | 9.00am – 5.00pm
Riverdene Nursery 80 Allyn River Road, East Gresford Tuesday to Friday | 9.00am – 3.00pm
Trees will be distributed on a first come, first served basis until all stock has been allocated. So save the date to claim your free trees!
Community groups and schools are also encouraged to get involved. Eligible groups can claim up to 25 bush tucker or native trees from Riverdene Nursery by contacting Tracey Lowrey at Dungog Shire Council on 4995 7777 to arrange a tree voucher.
