EOI - Access & Inclusion Committee

About the Committee

The Access and Inclusion Committee is a temporary advisory committee established to guide the development of Council’s Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP). The Committee provides advice, lived experience and community input to help identify barriers to access and inclusion across the Dungog Shire and to shape the priorities of the DIAP.

The Committee will operate for the duration of the DIAP development process and will be dissolved upon adoption of the Plan by Council.

Who We Are Looking For

Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from community members and organisations to fill the following positions:

Community Representatives (up to three positions)

  • People with lived experience of disability, with representation from each ward wherever practicable
  • Carers or family representatives
  • Advocates for accessibility and inclusion

    Organisation Representatives (up to three positions)
  • Representatives from organisations or service providers with expertise in disability access, inclusion or community services

Members are expected to attend regular Committee meetings (proposed monthly but held at least quarterly, in person or via Teams), contribute to consultation activities and comply with Council’s applicable Codes of Conduct.
